Welcome to Locky

These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Locky, our app security service developed by Windx Studio. By downloading or using our app, you agree to these terms.

We've written this in plain language to make it easy to understand. If you don't agree with any part, please don't use our app.

What Locky Does

Locky is a security app that helps protect your other apps by adding lock screens to them. You choose which apps to protect, set up your preferred unlock method (PIN, pattern, or fingerprint), and Locky monitors when those apps are opened to display the security screen.

Important: Locky runs on your device and works locally. We don't store your protected app data or monitor what you do inside those apps - we only detect when they launch.

Your Rights to Use Locky

We give you a personal, non-exclusive license to use Locky on your devices. This means you can:

You cannot: sell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or modify Locky. You also can't use it for illegal activities or to bypass other apps' security measures inappropriately.

What We Expect From You

Use Locky responsibly: Don't try to hack, break, or interfere with the app's operation. Don't use it to harm others or for illegal purposes.

Keep your access secure: Your PIN, pattern, and biometric data are your responsibility. We can't recover forgotten credentials - you'll need to reset the app.

Follow device and platform rules: Comply with your device manufacturer's terms and Google Play Store policies when using Locky.

Respect others: If you share feedback or contact support, be respectful and honest.

What We Provide

The app service: We provide Locky's core functionality to secure your apps, along with regular updates and bug fixes.

Support: We offer reasonable support through our contact channels, though we can't guarantee immediate responses to all inquiries.

Privacy protection: We follow our Privacy Policy to protect your data and respect your privacy choices.

What we don't guarantee: We provide Locky "as is" and can't promise it will work perfectly on every device or prevent every security threat. No app is 100% foolproof.

Limitations and Restrictions

Device compatibility: Locky works on Android devices meeting our minimum requirements. We can't guarantee compatibility with all devices or Android versions.

Third-party apps: We can't control how other apps behave or whether they try to bypass Locky's protection. Some apps may not work well with lock screens.

System limitations: Locky requires certain Android permissions to function. If you revoke critical permissions, some features may stop working.

No warranty: We don't guarantee that Locky will prevent all unauthorized access or work without interruption.

Your Responsibilities

Legal use only: Use Locky only for legitimate security purposes. Don't use it to spy on others or access accounts that aren't yours.

Keep software updated: Install app updates when available to maintain security and functionality.

Backup your settings: While we try to preserve your settings during updates, you should backup important configurations.

Report problems: If you find security vulnerabilities or serious bugs, please report them to us responsibly.

Our Responsibilities

Provide the service: We'll do our best to keep Locky working reliably and fix important bugs promptly.

Protect your privacy: We'll follow our Privacy Policy and protect your data according to our stated practices.

Give reasonable notice: If we make significant changes to the service, we'll try to notify users in advance.

Handle data properly: We'll process any data according to applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.

Paid Features and Subscriptions

Locky currently offers free features. Paid features may be introduced in future versions, in which case these terms will apply.

If you purchase premium features or subscriptions:

Payment: Payments are processed through Google Play Store according to their terms and policies.

Refunds: Refund requests are handled according to Google Play Store's refund policy. Contact Google Play support for refund assistance.

Subscription changes: You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Google Play account settings.

Feature access: Premium features remain available as long as your subscription is active and in good standing.

Ending Your Use of Locky

You can stop anytime: Simply uninstall the app from your device. This automatically deletes all local data.

We might end service: We reserve the right to discontinue Locky with reasonable notice, though we'll try to avoid this.

Data deletion: When you stop using Locky, your local data is deleted immediately. Any anonymous analytics data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

Use at your own risk: While we work hard to make Locky secure and reliable, you use it at your own risk. We can't be responsible for any damages or losses related to using or not being able to use Locky.

No liability for: Lost data, device problems, conflicts with other apps, or unauthorized access that Locky didn't prevent.

Maximum liability: In any case, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for premium features (if any) in the past 12 months.

This doesn't affect: Your statutory rights as a consumer, which may provide additional protections depending on your location.

Disputes and Legal Matters

Try to resolve directly first: If you have a problem, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it.

Governing law: These terms are governed by Vietnamese law, as we're based in Vietnam. If you are a consumer residing in the EU, UK, or US, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.

Dispute resolution: Serious disputes may be resolved through Vietnamese courts or arbitration, depending on the nature of the issue.

Consumer rights protection: Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Class action waiver: Where legally permitted, you agree to resolve disputes individually rather than as part of class action lawsuits.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms: If we need to make changes, we'll notify you through the app and post updated terms here.

How you'll know: We'll change the "Last Updated" date and highlight significant changes in the app.

Your choices: If you don't agree with updated terms, you can stop using Locky. Continued use means you accept the new terms.

Notice period: We'll try to give at least 30 days notice for major changes that affect your rights.
